These terms and conditions are set in place to safeguard the health and well being of all the cats in our care and form part of your contract with Gemimas Cattery. Please read these carefully and if you have any questions, please contact us to discuss them.

All Boarding Fees are inclusive of our comprehensive insurance (including veterinary fees up to £1,250) for each cat per stay, subject to terms and conditions. Any illnesses prior to boarding are not covered. Routine vaccinations, worms, fleas and ear mites etc, are not covered. All veterinary costs not covered by our insurance, are the full responsibility of the owner.

All cats are examined upon arrival and are accepted into our care upon the understanding that they are in good health. Any health conditions must be stated prior to acceptance of boarding. Management has the right to refuse any cat showing signs of illness, pending advice from a veterinary surgeon.

All owners must produce Valid Vaccination Certificate against Feline Panleukopenia (FPV or P) (Feline Infectious Enteritis), Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR or R) and Feline Calicivirus (FCV or C) (Cat-flu (Feline Respiratory Disease)), for each cat upon arrival.
We encourage owners to bring along any favourite bedding and toys. Familiar smells, sights and sounds will help your cat to settle in quicker. However, we cannot accept any responsibility for damage to, or loss of property.
If your cat/s should unexpectedly appear unwell whilst in our care, management has the right to contact the services of a veterinary surgeon. Clients are fully responsible for any veterinary fees incurred not covered by our insurance.
Only cats from the same household will be boarded together.
Payment of all fees to be made on collection of your cat.
Boarding fees are charged for by the day and for all the days booked which include the days of arrival and departure. Should you decide to collect your cat prior to the agreed collection date, the full booking fee will still be charged. If your cat stays after the agreed collection date, then the extra days will be charged for in full. Cancellation within 7 days of the agreed arrival date will result in the management reserving the right to charge for the booking in full.
We regret that un-neutered cats (over the age of eight months) cannot be accepted.

Please ensure your cat is up to date with their flea & worm treatments. (Please click here for more information). Any cat subsequently found to have fleas and/or worms will be treated accordingly and the cost (currently £15 per cat), will be added to your final bill.

Whilst every care and effort is made to ensure the health and well being of all cats in our care, cats are boarded entirely at their owners risk and upon acceptance of our terms and conditions.
Cats are fed with high quality Royal Canin Cat Food. After many years of cat charity work and adopting cats we believe this one of the best cat foods available with a fantastic range. Any prescription or special diets must be supplied by the owner. We will happily continue your cats diet should you require, but we believe Royal Canin will have the right food available for your cats specific needs. Fresh chicken and fish is fed regularly (subject to any special dietary requirements).

Please ensure your cat is transported in a secure pet carrier. No responsibility will be taken for cats until they are in their luxury chalet, or upon removal from their luxury chalet.
Any cat not collected after 7 days of the agreed collection, and with no contact with the owners, will be re-homed accordingly.

Free daily grooming is on the basis that your cat is thoroughly groomed at home beforehand and that their coat is free from matts, knots or tangles. Any cat that is subsequently found to have matts, knots or tangles will be de-matted professionally at the cost of the owner (Usually £20 to £30). From our experience, we highly recommend Carole at Top Dog Grooming in Lincoln, 01522 531333 for all your cat grooming needs.
