We believe that your cat deserves the best of care whilst you're away, and when you leave your pet at Gemima's you can be confident that everything is done to make their stay as pleasant, and as comfortable as possible.

   
Choose From Two Styles of Accommodation
 


Standard chalet layout

Our Standard 'Penthouse' Chalet is spacious enough to lodge up to two cats from the same family. If there are more than two cats then the central sneeze barrier in adjoining chalets can be removed to allow a family to share. Scratching posts are also included in all our standard chalets.

Our Family Chalet is also a 'Penthouse' style but has a larger run and house and is suitable for the pampered Aristocat or up to a four cat family. A scratching post is also included in all our family chalets.

Deluxe chalet layout

All chalets are fitted with a viewing / grooming shelf for your cat to spectate from and the cattery layout ensures that all our guests get a good view of everything that's going on in the garden.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The sleeping area of all chalets are fully insulated and lined with a special hygienic lining that can be kept clean and germ free at all times.

Each chalet is fitted with it's own wall panel heater which not only keeps the house at an even temperature, but allows your cat to snuggle up to something warm if it wishes.

To help your pet quickly settle into it's new environment, owners are welcome to bring along familiar items such as small toys and grooming brushes, but are requested not bring larger items such as bedding, clothing and scratching posts.

All our guests are offered plenty of fuss and attention throughout their stay,
and this will include grooming for those that enjoy it.

 
Your Cat's Health


At Gemima's we believe that it's important not to change a cat's diet whilst it's away from home and individual dietary requirements are discussed with you when booking in. We maintain a stock of the major brands of wet food including tins, pouches and foils. We also use a top quality Super Premium Maintenance dried cat food for those on a dried food only diet, and also to supplement wet food.

All cats must be up to date with their vaccinations for Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu, and the certificate provided by your vet must be produced to on admission. The certificate is kept with your records during your cats stay at Gemima's and is returned to you on collection day. This reduces delays, and speeds up administration should your cat require veterinary treatment whilst you are away.

Medication can be administered when required, including injections for conditions such as diabetes.

ALL CATS MUST BE UP TO DATE WITH THEIR PREVENTATIVE FLEA AND WORMING TREATMENTS BEFORE BOARDING WITH US AND IF NECESSARY, GEMIMA'S WILL CONTINUE A CAT'S FLEA TREATMENT AT THE OWNER'S REQUEST.

WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY CATS THAT DO NOT RECEIVE ONGOING
MEANINGFUL PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT AGAINST FLEAS.

ANY CAT(S) SUBSEQUENTLY FOUND TO HAVE FLEAS AFTER ADMISSION WILL BE TREATED BY US TO ERADICATE THE PROBLEM AND THE COST OF TREATMENT, CURRENTLY £30.00, WILL BE ADDED TO THE BOARDING FEES.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of illness, pending veterinary advice.
These precautions are essential to protect the health of all cats staying at Gemima's.
